At the heart of the band is the strong vocal performance and slide guitar wizardry of Mr Martin Cummins combined with the blues harp playing of big brother Noel "Zap" Cummins, the impressive low end frettery of Mr Shane O'Brien on bass and the powerful, yet subtle drumming of Mr Martin McAleer. A mix of Gallagher and Zeppelin, with a little Muddy on the side, best describes the output from this outfit and real music fans will do well to remember where they saw these guys first.

Higgins as one of their biggest fans, have appeared on established national TV shows including RTE’s The Saturday Night Show, TV3’s Ireland AM, and TG4.The Young Folk has appeared at Westport Music Festival, Electric Picnic, The Cambridge Folk Festival, Midem, SXSW, opened for Imelda May in Dublin’s Vicar Street and appeared at Mitchelstown Caves with Mick Flannery and Castlepalooza 2014 in Charleville Castle. Hot Press described them as: “serious challengers for the area populated by the likes of Fleet Foxes, Mumford and Sons and The Low Anthem.”

The Flaws exploded onto the Irish music scene when their debut long player ‘Achieving Vagueness’ was released to universal critical acclaim. It entered the Irish Top 20 and lead to both Choice and Meteor nominations. The crash helmet telephone distorts the vocals and his hands, arms, legs and feet become a blur of jump suit clad limbs as he plays slide, triggers drum machines and drums with his feet simultaneously.
