Greenshank
Greenshanks are similar Redshanks in size but have brighter
plumage, green legs, and a slightly upturned bill. Often
they will stand out among a group of waders because fo
their feeding habit which sometimes involves dashing about
after small fish or worms in shallow water. Over the winter
period Greenshanks are usually seen as individuals or
in small groups along the small creeks around the harbour
and bay.
