Vladimir Jablokov
Vladimir Jablokov is a young violin virtuoso from Bratislava,
Slovakia.
Vladimir arrived in Ireland in 2004. He formed the Slovak
Festival Quartet in 2006 with some friends. The big
brother of the SFQ, the forty-eight piece Slovak Festival
Orchestra followed shortly after.Vladimir has played
some of Ireland's most prestigious venues; including
The Mansion House, The Gaiety Theatre, Cork Opera House,
Limerick UCH, the National Concert Hall, and the Aras
an Uachtarain.
Vladimir's main musical focus at the moment is his small
ensemble and the winning hybrid of classics, jazz and
pop he calls 'Classical Twist'. From Bach to Bowie,
and from Mozart to Johnny Mercer; Classical Twist puts
a fresh, contemporary spin on some of the greatest melodies
ever written. Dazzling musicianship and inventive, rhythmic
arrangements delivered with verve in an accessible and
approachable style.
