Third Smoke
Third Smoke have been in the making for up to five years.
Before the band got together singer Hugh Donlon and
lead guitarist Joe O’Connor met up regularly
through secondary school to jam and write songs. As such
there is great understanding between the two in their
song writing, which has thankfully developed past the
initial 13 year old inspired fantasies! The songs draw
from many influences and see the use of clever chord usage
and progressions which are coupled with strong harmonies,
intelligent lead and unique and original song structures.
The line up is of course backed by a strong rhythm section
with Chris Rocks on drums, he literally rocks on drums
*ahem* and Ruaidhri Barry on bass, a man who loves to
slap, pop and laugh hysterically! Likened to a mix of
Queens of the Stone Age, The Kings of Leon and The Beatles;
this band is driven by ambition and supported by experience
in music as all have been in bands previously. Watch out
for well written and performed songs by four guys that
really enjoy what they do! |
