Parachutes Over Paris
Belfast based Parachutes Over Paris began their onslaught
on the local scene in early 2011. With their ever so catchy
riffs, edgy dual male/female vocals and toe-tap taping
indie/pop, they have already received airplay on local
radio including BBC Radio One Introducing, Phantom
FM and have been tipped by BBC Across the Line as ones
to watch in 2012. Members of the band have previously
supported the like of Buzzcocks, Supergrass, That Petrol
Emotion and General Fiasco and they have continued
in that vein by warming up for Portland, Oregan based
band Lovers to a packed Whelans bar in Dublin in December. They
release their debut ep entitled 'The Guiltiness of Youth'
in February this year and will embark on a short Irish
tour to coincide with it including dates in the prestigious
Spirit Store, Dundalk and the Mercantile, Dublin.
'Guitar indie that's catchier than a cold on a Winter
bus trip' (Philly Taggart - BBC Radio One Introducing)
'With a new EP on the way in the next few months, their
big poppy hooks may well make people stop and take notice!'(BBC
Across the Line)
