The New Originals
Formerly "The Originals" this rock'n'roll
4 piece have been exciting both music fans and accountants
since the mid 60's. Uniquely for an original band The
New Originals choose not to write any of their own material.
Instead they choose hit songs from bands like The
Who, The Rollings Stones, The Doors, David Bowie, The
Beatles, Bob Dylan and Creedance and adopt them as their
own in order to make money. They formed during the 'summer
of love' when former chemist (current guitarist) Daiquiri
Coitis met with a Polish gardener ,Fandango Quarantine
the first jnr, who had become disillusioned with technological
advancements in his trade. The two had an instant distrust
of each other and so knew that they must work in a band
together.
During his time studying the complete works of
Adam Claton, Fandango had repeatedly heard the name
Danny Pudding. Pudding had started out as principal
triangularist in the Swedish philharmonic before making
a name for himself with bands such as 'Dutchbinge',
'The Nipple Tassels', 'Rasta la Vista Baby', 'Strangely
Brown' and avant garde saxophonist 'Captin Beefcurtain'.
Once Fandango had shown Daiquiri some of Puddings work
they were both agreed that he was a drummer second only
to Karen Carpenter, Phil Collins, Caroline 'Caz' Corr,
the young fella from Hansen and many more.
What the band needed now was a front man; a man's
man and man that's what they got when they hired singer/guitarist
Trev. Unfortunately the style of wearing ridiculously
tight trousers in the mid 70's had left Trev with acute
amnesia which meant he would constantly have to be reminded
he had joined the band in the first place. Something
which he has always regretted.
This band must be seen to be believed. A 2 hour
show of non stop hits will leave any crowd begging for
more.
