"Florence-minus-the-hollering, stomping stage routine
hinting at a feisty little madam beneath the adorable,
heavy fringe-adorned veneer, promising a new starlet in
the making" - Q magazine

Liz Lawrence is one of the hottest new troubadours
around. Hot Press, January 2012
London-based artist Liz Lawrence makes hook-filled,
exciting and honest acoustic music. Playing in punk
and ska bands in her early teens, she engaged in a full
blown love affair with live performance. Her punk history
may not be obvious on first impressions but once she
starts to march on the stage her nature cannot be suppressed.
Still only 21, Liz writes mature sculpted songs with
instant melodic hooks and lyrics that talk to her listeners
with honesty and compassion.
With her publishing already snapped up by SonyATV,
her debut album Bedroom Hero is now out
in Ireland and is getting plenty of radio play. A 3-track
live studio EP, Live From No. 82 has just
been released worldwide on Young & Lost.
Constanly gigging in London and starting to push out
further afield, Liz has supported artists such as Scouting
for Girls, Xavier Rudd, Ben Howard, Brooke Fraser, Young
the Giant, Yoav, The Civil Wars, Jake Morley and one
of her idols Ani Difranco, who commented on Liz as "a
beautiful artist who lives on the edge".
