Le Galaxie
Europes Le Galaxie have built up their reputation
for their joyous, ceiling-melting live shows since they
formed in 2008. Hit singles We Bleed The Blood Of
Androids and You Feel The Fire - the
latters video winning Best Dance Video
at the 2009 IMTV awards and support slots with
the likes of The Presets, The Whip, Au Revoir Simone,
Brakes, Im From Barcelona, Hadouken & New Young
Pony Club have paved the blazing neon trail to the debut
album in March 2011.
Meshing pounding techno rhythms, shimmering cyber-synths
and cascading dream-streams of sonic guitar-wizardry,
Le Galaxie have stamped their 'grid vs guitars' ethos
on Ireland. Following a summer of festival fury and
UK magnificence, the band have been in the studio finishing
the record, with a 9 date Irish Tour in October/November.
'...they launch into the kind of showing to leave you
open mouthed in astonishment. Surely, Le Galaxies
cover as Irelands best kept musical secret is
about to be blown wide open...'
STATE.IE
'By far the best band I saw all weekend were Le Galaxie.
Holy Jesus!...It slowly turned into a properly banging
festival set...The tunes were big, all-encompassing
live electro with guitars that pumped some vitality
into proceedings...Brilliant.'
NIALLER9 BLOG, CASTLEPALOOZA REVIEW
The entire set was a mind-blowing, sample-tastic,synth-shimmering,
teasingly-torrential guitar fuelled frenzy, which the
crowd adored them for....'
NIAMH DOLAN, HEINEKENMUSIC.IE
'...for an instrumental synth band triggering sound
bites about machines taking over they certainly can
rock out. Guitars and synths that cascade and hey, surely
techno geeknerds dont rock out like this do they?...bubbling
and synthing and jumping about and crowd participation
and alive like the heart of your nearest star. ...well
be back for more...'

'Plenty to twitch and stomp your feet to here...out
of this world...'
THE SUN
'[We Bleed The Blood Of Androids] is as fine an example
as any of their spaced-out, sci-fi inspired sonic explorations...manages
to retain and organic warmth that's rare to find in
electronica...'
HOTPRESS MAGAZINE
'[We Bleed The Blood Of Androids] from loudly heralded
Dublin space rockers Le Galaxie sounds like Mercury
Rev fronted by Hal, the bonkers super-computer from
2001: A space odyssey. As eerie synths creak and guitars
swoon and sigh, a (possible insane) robot chirrups menacingly
in the foreground- all to goosebump-inducing effect.
Please buy this and make them famous...
SINGLE OF THE WEEK, METRO
'...on the night [IMTV Awards] I saw one of the best
live sets in recent years by Le Galaxie...'
