Kieran Mulvihill is a singer/songwriter who blends folk,
indie and rock with a poet's sensibility. Kieran's songs
are poetic and observational in nature, with an eye
for the cracks in urban life and the melancholy of rural
living and leaving. Kieran delivers music in its most
unadulterated form with an air of optimism thrown in
for good measure. Born and raised in Listowel co Kerry,
he is now resides in Dublin.
His live performances aim to captivate his audience
through emotive lyrics and storytelling. His vocal approach
is often soft with a gentle approach but it also transforms
to become more aggressive and passionate with each song.
Kieran supported acts such a Glen Hansard and Damien
dempsey and has been gigging around the Dublin circuit
for the past 3 years as a solo artist or with a band.
Kieran released his Debut EP "From the outside
looking in" in October 2017 with launch nights
in Dublin and Kerry.
His influences include- Mic Christopher, Sun Kil Moon,
Nick Drake, John Martyn, Van Morrison, The National,
Damien Dempsey, Glen Hansard, The Maryjanes. The writings
of John b Keane, Patrick Kavanagh, Jack Kerouac, Michael
Harding and Charles Bukowski.
