Carried By Waves
Last year was a busy one for CARRIED BY WAVES, and it
was marked by considerable progress; A debut show in January
was closely followed by a headline slot at the Oiche Bealtaine
festival. By June they were selected to perform as part
of the FIRST MUSIC CONTACT showcase tour, and in August
they were among the acts chosen to play at the HARD WORKING
CLASS HEROES festival. This was followed in September
by a performance at THE ELECTRIC PICNIC. These shows gained
critical acclaim with the likes of Hot Press, Entertainment.ie,
& Drop-D.ie , (to name a few) and lead to an artist
profile segment on Phantom FM, as well as regular airplay
on Dan Hegarty's 2FM show. In addition to this, the year
was rounded off by a recording session at 2FM for Dan
Hegarty's show. 2012 began with both Hot Press & Heinekenmusic.ie
tipping CARRIED BY WAVES as "one to watch",
and with a debut album in the works (set for Summer release),
it promises to be an exciting year.
