Boy Lights Fire
Boy Lights Fire are a three-piece indie/new-wave group
that formed in Dundalk I.T in 2009. Combining progressive
hooks with upbeat dance rhythms and modern day mythological
and poetic social lyrical content, this trio are quickly
picking up momentum on the Irish live circuit and are
recognised for their energetic and passionate live performances.
The band are proud to announce that this summer will
mark their debut appearance at the Electric Picnic Festival
in Laois, with their arrival to first place in the Louth
Electric Picnic Battle of Bands in February 2011. The
band won "Best Song" for their release of
"Weatherman" in the 2010 Highway 67 Music
Awards.
December 2010 saw the group win the First Music Contact
"Breaking Tunes" competition in which they
were chosen over forty other Louth acts to share the
stage with the highly regarded Irish acts As I Watch
You From Afar, Fionn Regan, and Jape.
Since their formation, Boy Lights Fire have gigged extensively
throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland, in venues such
as Whelans, The Village, Spirit Store, Lavery's and
many other venues throughout the country.
Excitement is building over the arrival of their Debut
"Weatherman" E.P in May 2011, which the group
will promote nationwide. This release will be available
in Tower Records, Itunes and other music shops nationwide.
