Andrew Maxwell
Andrew performed his show The Lights Are On at the Edinburgh
Fringe and was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award
for Best Comedy Show for the second time.
He recently recorded BBC One's legendary comedy show
LIVE AT THE APOLLO for the first time which aired on
Friday 9th December. He appeared alongside host Rich
Hall and fellow guest Mark Watson.
He joined the Sky One panel show WALL OF FAME earlier
this year as a series regular alongside host David Walliams,
fellow comic Jack Dee, Kate Garraway and Tamara Ecclestone.
The series started on the 17th June and continued for
8 weeks.
Andrew also recently presented an authored documentary
for BBC3, CONSPIRACY COACH TRIP: 9/11 (with Renegade
Pictures) which aired around the 10 year anniversary

Andrew toured Ireland earlier this year and has performed
at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Kilkenny's Cat Laughs
Festival and Dublin's Comedy Carnival and to sell-out
crowds at Vicar Sreet in Dublin in 2011. He also took
part in Comic Relief 2011's 24 HOUR PANEL PEOPLE challenge
in a special version of BBC's MOCK THE WEEK.
Andrew released his third live DVD in Ireland in 2010
after a sell-out five night run at the Assembly Hall
in Edinburgh in August 2010.
Andrew has won and been nominated for several awards
including an Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, a
Time Out Live Award in the category of Best Stand-up,
a Loaded Magazine Award for best stand-up and Chortle
Award for best contribution to the live comedy circuit.
He was also recently voted Best Irish Comedian by the
public at the Entertainment.ie awards.
He has appeared on recent series of BBCs HAVE
I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, ITV2'S CELEBRITY JUICE, the Dave
Channel's ARGUMENTAL and BBC2's MOCK THE WEEK, cementing
his reputation as one of the countrys most sought
after comedians.
He was a regular on all series of RTE1's THE PANEL
and he made it to the quarter finals of RTE's CELEBRITY
BAINISTEOIR.
In 2008 Andrew filmed the one-off pilot CONFLICT REVOLUTION
for BBC Northern Ireland. It was released as a DVD alongside
a live recording of the 2008 Edinburgh show (in Ireland)
and marks Andrews continued development and exploration
of comedy as a way of crossing cultural, social and
religious borders.
Andrew is a founder member of ALTITUDE, a comedy festival
staged in the Alps every Spring. The next one is 26th
- 31st March 2012 with Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle.
Andrew continues to dominate the live and festival
circuits. Notable appearances have included several
sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, The Amnesty
/ Channel Four Secret Policeman's Ball (alongside Eddie
Izzard, Chevy Chase and Dylan Moran - "Maxwell
turned it around... he made us feel part of an event"
THE TIMES), at the HBO US Comedy & Arts Festival
in Las Vegas (alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock),
several sell-out runs in the main house of The Soho
Theatre, Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, Glastonbury and
the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.
